Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Joe von Sonntag is an incredibly sweet and gentle 16 month old German Shepherd, with a beautiful face. He loves kids, and is very happy for any kind of affection. He was completely calm during his bath, the only movement he made was to give us kisses and shake off the excess water once or twice, and he was very patient while he was brushed. He knows the sit command, and may know more tricks -- he seemed to bow to our awesome photographer -- and walks well on the leash with reminders. Even in his obviously hungry state, he took treats so gently that a three year old could give him chicken strips (which actually happened!) He did fine with other dogs that he encountered, but he is not a fan of kitties. Joe is going to bond very quickly with his new family, and after some pounds are added back on to his frame, is going to be an absolutely gorgeous dog with an amazing personality.
